stay the night
stay the night
a night you won't forget
While some of the Franklin Castle’s most ominous chambers are about to have their doors unlocked to stay the night, others are brooding quietly over their stories.
It’s probably not wise to spend the night by yourself, so find a companion, huddle close, and wait to see what the night brings. If it’s any help, you’ll find a notebook and pen next to your bed to keep track of everything you experience while you’re here.
Whatever the circumstances may be, we want to extend our heartfelt greeting to you from within the kastle and assure you that tonight; will be a journey you won’t forget.

2. We'd like to give everyone who wants to stay the night a chance to do so, despite the fact that the chambers at Franklin Castle are often reserved hundreds of days in advance - and booked up quickly. If you need to, please cancel any reservations within three weeks of your arrival. We'll miss you here, and the spirits will be the only guests in your rooms, so we have to charge a 20% cancelation fee of the total cost of your chamber reservation.
3. We charge a security deposit of $250. This will be refunded within 3-5 business days after your stay minus possible damage costs.

Emma’s Rooms
Johannes Tiedemann's fifteen-year-old daughter Emma dies in the house on January 15, 1881, soon followed by her grandmother, Wiebke, who died suddenly and unexpectedly, thereby marking the estate's fourth unnatural death. Emma's room has remarkably frequent paranormal activity, reminiscent of happy and innocent vibes, merry music and wonderful parties that Emma lived, clad in ribbons and lace, in her childhood years. Her Bedroom features a queen-sized bed crowned with a Blue Silk Roof, the gothic-style Reading Room [originally Emma's play room], the Black Marble Bathroom, and a large Victorian-style kitchen, painted in Saxon folklore decors. These rooms can accommodate up to two guests to stay the night. These walls are highly active and bursting with creative energy . And, because I know it may get late before you fall asleep, check-out is at 3 p.m. the following day. -- From $175 per guest/night and a minimum of two guests --
Johannes’ Rooms
Johannes Tiedeman commissioned the most brilliant architects of their time, Cudell & Richardson, in 1864, to build a mansion reminiscent of those North German castles of the region of Süderau and Schleschwig-Holstein that he had seen in his youth, before leaving for America, forever. The Tiedeman family history is shrouded in mystery, with myth and fact so intertwined that the legend begins here. The stately Oak Bedroom has a king-sized bed crowned with a Red Velvet roof, a gothic-style Reading Room [originally Johannes and Louise's private room], a black and white marble bathroom, the Chamber Kitchenette and a view to the rose garden with the carriage house behind the castle, all part of Johannes' Dwelling. It can accommodate up to two guests to stay the night. This room is a powerhouse of energy and activity. Because I understand it may be late before you fall asleep, check-out is at 3 p.m. the next day. -- From $175 per guest/night and a minimum of two guests --
Louise’s Dwelling
These were Louise’s own quarters at Franklin Castle in the late 1880’s. Decades later, around the time the Deutsche Sozialisten [German Singing and Dancing Club] sold the castle, rumors began to circulate that it was haunted by the nineteenth century ghosts of Louise and her daughter Emma. Louise's Dwelling takes up the entire third floor. It has two bedrooms, a large reading room, two bathrooms, and a large kitchen overlooking the rose garden and the carriage house. The dwelling can sleep up to four guests. This entire floor has seen joys, sorrows, mysterious deaths and spiritual mayhem and is still very active today. I understand it may be late before you fall asleep, so check-out is at 3 p.m. the next day. -- From $225 per guest/night and a minimum of two guests --
