Emma’s Rooms
The Tiedemanns’ fifteen-year-old daughter, Emma, passed away in the house on January 15, 1881. Soon after, her grandmother Wiebke died suddenly and unexpectedly, marking the estate’s fourth death. Despite this tragic history, Emma’s Rooms retain a remarkably uplifting energy, echoing the music, merriment, and ribbons-and-lace celebrations of her childhood. During this overnight experience, participants explore Emma’s private quarters and adjoining spaces—such as the Gothic-inspired Reading Room (originally Emma’s playroom), the Black Marble Bathroom, and a large Victorian-style kitchen adorned with Saxon folklore motifs. This immersive event accommodates up to two guests and is priced from $175 per person, with a minimum of two participants. Come discover the castle’s rich past and experience firsthand the atmosphere that lingers after dark.
Johannes’s Chambers
In 1881, Johannes Tiedeman enlisted the renowned architects Cudell & Richardson to build a mansion inspired by the North German castles of Süderau and Schleswig-Holstein—places he knew from his youth before departing for America forever. Within Johannes’s Chambers lies the stately Oak Bedroom, adorned with a red velvet canopy, a white marble bathing area, a Chamber Kitchenette, and a view of the Rose Garden with the Carriage House behind the castle. This immersive overnight event accommodates up to two participants and is infused with a uniquely potent energy, making the late hours especially engaging. Since the experience can continue well into the night, it concludes at 1 p.m. the following day. Pricing begins at $220 per participant, with a minimum of two participants. Come discover the castle’s storied past and immerse yourself in its captivating after-dark atmosphere.
Louise’s Dwelling
These were Louise’s personal quarters at Franklin Castle in the late 1880s. Decades later, around the time the Deutsche Sozialisten (the German Singing and Dancing Club) sold the castle, rumors circulated that it was haunted by the nineteenth-century ghosts of Louise and her daughter, Emma. Covering the entire third floor, Louise’s Dwelling includes two private chambers, a large Reading Room, two bathrooms, and a spacious Victorian kitchen with views of the Rose Garden and Carriage House. This immersive overnight experience can host up to six participants and reveals a space where joys, sorrows, mysterious deaths, and spiritual disturbances have all left their mark. Because the night’s activities can run late, the event concludes at 1 p.m. the following day. It begins at 4 p.m., with pricing starting at $245 per participant (minimum of two participants). Come explore the castle’s lingering energy and historic intrigue—after dark.
The Kastle
Built between 1881 and 1883, Franklin Castle is widely rumored to be Ohio’s most haunted house. A magnetic epicenter of undeniable fascination, it has witnessed countless adventures, supernatural events, joys, and sorrows. From the elegant sophistication of its earliest residents to the gritty teenage rituals of the 1970s, these walls have absorbed a roller coaster of energies and influences that can only be understood by stepping inside. The Kastle Overnights experience is designed for larger groups, extending across three floors (basement, first floor, and second floor), including the south main hall. It accommodates up to 8 participants for a night of immersive discovery. The event begins at 4 p.m. (feel free to arrive anytime after) and concludes at 1 p.m. the following day. Come explore the castle’s captivating history and lingering spirits—after dark.-- From $285 per guest/night and a minimum of four participants --
