Whilst some of Franklin Castle’s most ominous chambers are about to have their doors unlocked to stay the night, others are brooding quietly over their stories.
It might not be wise to brave the night alone, so bring a companion, stay close, and await whatever the darkness may reveal. You’ll find a notebook and a pen in your chamber ; feel free to document any encounters or impressions that arise during this overnight event.

Hannes' master chambers

In 1881, Johannes Tiedeman enlisted the renowned architects Cudell & Richardson to build a mansion inspired by the North German castles of Süderau and Schleswig-Holstein, places he knew from his youth before departing for America forever. Within Hannes’s Chambers lies the stately Oak Bedroom, adorned with oak libraries, pocket doors, a white Carrara marble fireplace, precious silk & linen Venetian brocades, block-printed historic wallcoverings a white marble bathing area, a kitchenette nook, and views, from the turret, of the front and side garden with the rose bushes in the summer months. This immersive overnight event accommodates up to two participants and is infused with a uniquely potent energy, making the late hours especially engaging. Since the experience can continue well into the night, a late check out might be possible, provided no events are scheduled on the following day. Ask us and we will do our best to accomodate. The Eerie suite

This cozy suite, bathed in Eastern morning delight, was Louise Tiedemann’s very own private suite around 1880. Dora, her child, stayed in the nearby room which is now the suite’s living room. Mysterious flickering lights through the tree branches on the Western side and the beautiful Northern light from the lake create a magic atmosphere in this apartment which retains a remarkably uplifting energy, echoing the music, merriment, and ribbons-and-lace celebrations of lore. The white marbles and black porcelain bathroom ; a large Victorian-style kitchen adorned with Saxon hand-painted decors inspired by Transylvania’s iconography play with colours and shadows amongst the gold reflections of Watts of Westminster’s block-printed historic wallpapers. This immersive event accommodates up to two guests and is priced from $150 per person, with a minimum of two participants. Ligeia's suite is all the colors of the dark
I cannot, for my soul, remember how, when, or even precisely where, I first became acquainted with the lady Ligeia. Long years have since elapsed… yet I believe that I met her first in some large, old, decaying castle near the Erie… Covering the entire third floor, this amazing dwelling is inspired by one of our muses : Ligeia, the fascinating heroïne of an Edgar Allan Poe’s gothic tale of love and terror. Two bedroom suites, a large Reading Room, a sun-bathed living room with a turret, two full bathrooms with tubs and a spacious Victorian kitchen with views of the Rose Garden and Carriage House. This immersive overnight experience can host up to five participants and reveals a space where joy, mystery and spirituality have all left their mark. Because the night’s wakes can run late, the event concludes at 12 pm on the following day. It begins at 4 pm, with price starting at $230 per participant (minimum of two participants). Built between 1881 and 1883, Franklin Castle is widely rumored to be Ohio’s most haunted house. A magnetic epicenter of undeniable fascination, it has witnessed countless adventures, supernatural events, joys, and sorrows. From the elegant sophistication of its earliest residents to the gritty teenage rituals of the 1970s, these walls have absorbed a roller coaster of energies and influences that can only be understood by stepping inside. The Castle Overnights experience is designed for a circle of like-minded friends or a family. Extending across three floors (basement, first floor, and second floor), including the south main hall. It accommodates up to 7 participants for a night of immersive discovery. The event begins at 4 p.m. (feel free to arrive anytime after) and concludes at 1 p.m. the following day. Come explore the castle’s captivating history and lingering spirits – after dark. From $285 per guest/night and a minimum of four participants.
