Below, you will find helpful notes about reserving your visit, essential information and our straightforward house rules. These guidelines are designed to ensure your safety and make your stay at the castle an unforgettable experience.
1. You may choose a suite at Franklin Castle by making a reservation through our website. You can either secure your stay by a deposit or by the full amount. Please use the following link:

Events at Franklin Castle are often reserved hundreds of days in advance so please ensure that the chosen date for your overnight is the one that shall be graced by your presence before making any reservation. In the event of any cancellation, a fee of 30% of the total cost of your overnight reservation shall be charged. If you cancel your overnight stay within 1 week before your reservation date or fail to show up, we cannot refund your full payment or any deposit. To request a refund, please email us at events@thefranklincastle.com. We do not process refund requests through social media; email communication is required.
3. The Midnight Hour : during your initiatic or mystical journey here, you are welcome to explore the castle on your own—if you dare. Be mindful of other guests who may need to slumber into their dreams in the nearby chambers. As you traverse the shadowy chambers and dungeons around midnight, do so in silence and hush the giggles in the common areas and staircases.
Please note that it is explicitly prohibited to enter any of the castles balconies. No exceptions. Please be aware that the primary sections of the castle, namely the Main South Hall and the Basement, will remain locked from 00:30am to 8am. However, all of these restrictions do not apply if you have hired the entire castle.
4. If you’re feeling brave, you can spend the night on your own although it is nothing beats being bewitched in good company, too ! The larger appartments or hiring ‘The Castle’, in particular, are designed for this. If you who plan on taking over the castle for your special event, this will include the South Main Hall and the entire second floor.
5. Franklin Castle does not have any televisions.
6. Franklin Castle overnights are private and exclusive. That’s the foundation this castle was built on and the reason by which filming and photography are not permitted in the house. Particularly so, it is forbidden to broadcast any image taken from within the castle on social media or in any public manner without previous authorisation from the owner.
7. We welcome you to bring your own provisions. In your chambers, you will find serving utensils. A list of restaurants that offer delivery service directly to the castle is also provided. If you’d like to cook, ‘The Eerie Suite’, ‘The Castle’, and ‘Ligeia’s Apartments’ come equipped with a full Victorian Kitchen. A kitchenette nook is available in ‘Hannes’ Master Suite’. In the morning, grind your coffee… the Tiedemann’s way.
8. ‘Overnights’ are not intended for paranormal research unless coordinated with us beforehand. Franklin Castle paranormal investigation options will be available later on in the season or upon special request.
9. Guests may leave and come back to Franklin Castle whenever they want.
PARKING: Overnight parking on site must be reserved at the time of your booking and well ahead of time as spaces are limited inside the property. Franklin Castle assumes no responsibility for any damage to vehicles under any circumstances. Street parking is also available on 44th and Franklin Blvd.
10. Check-in is at 4pm | Check-out is at 11am – the next day. Late check outs may be possible… or may be not depending on the next day’s events.
11. Chambers feature antique furnishings and most comforts of a Victorian mansion as well as fully equipped bespoke bathrooms, please treat these antiques and precious surfaces with care.
12. No alcohol will be served at Franklin Castle. However, you may bring your own beverages – in moderation, please.
13. There are many more options for our valued Castle Dwellers at Franklin Castle. You can find them when you click on the “Book Now” button for each room [House Cocktail, Dinner etc…]. Just pick your dates and number of guests to see if a suite is available. Another window will show you all the options you may choose from.
